Base Camp Missions is built on a culture of collaboration. Our team is a diverse group of mission-minded individuals, some are career missionaries serving with various organizations, while others are passionate leaders, supporters, and advocates for sustainable missions. We are united by a shared vision: to strengthen and equip those carrying the Gospel to the nations. Base Camp is not about one organization but about bringing together like-minded people who believe in healthy, impactful, and lasting mission work. Together, we create a community where missionaries, churches, and individuals can gather, grow, and go forward in the Great Commission.

Base Camp Missions is a hub for equipping and sustaining missionaries, churches, and mission-minded individuals.

It is not a sending organization but a gathering place where those passionate about the Great Commission can connect, grow, and go with strength.

Through community, training, and resources, we promote a healthier, more sustainable model of missions, where short-term missions are accessible to all, and long-term missionaries serve without burnout.

Rooted in collaboration, Base Camp exists to support those on the field, provide guidance for those preparing to go, and create a network of believers committed to seeing the Gospel reach the nations.

GENESIS...

Jill Omari's journey into missions began after attending Bible school, she joined a church-planting team, serving in children’s ministry in the city church, village congregations, and international school kids club. Cross-cultural ministry became her passion.

Her life their led to encountering street children and from there she opened a street boys’ home, a challenging yet transformative journey. Over 20 boys came under her care, each with a story of survival. Her work expanded into church planting, sustainable food projects, disaster relief, and supporting underage girls rescued from trafficking. Preaching and teaching wherever she could, she poured everything into the mission.

But over time, she saw a pattern, missionaries burning out, families unraveling, and, most heartbreakingly, missionary children walking away from the faith. The very people sacrificing for the Gospel were often left wounded and exhausted. Jill, too, felt the weight of it all. Balancing ministry and raising five children, she ignored the toll it was taking on her until her own health began to fail.

That realization changed everything. The Great Commission should not come at the cost of one’s well-being. Jill strongly believes, Jesus was the sacrifice, His followers are called to serve, not self-destruct.

As God stirred this vision in her heart, Jill returned to school at Regent University to further equip herself for the work ahead. She became involved with the American Society of Missiology (ASM) and the Alliance of Renewal Churches (ARC), aligning with others who share her heart for strengthening and sustaining missionaries. Her passion is to bring about healthy change for those sharing the Gospel.

From this conviction, Base Camp Missions was born. Not as a sending organization, but as a hub, a place to equip, strengthen, and sustain missionaries, churches, and mission-minded individuals. A model where short-term missions is accessible to all, and long-term missions is built to last. Through awareness, building a healthy missions minded community, offering/leading short-term missions trips, immersion programs, apprentices and sharing this message to the Body of Christ. Change will happen.

After 23 years in Tanzania, Jill has returned to the U.S. to establish a solid foundation for others to launch from. The mission field needs workers, but it also needs a base to keep them strong. Base Camp Missions is that foundation.

Be apart of our community and be apart of the change!
